Empowering the Future of East Champaran
Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world. At Advika Suman Foundation, we witnessed this power during our recent School Kit Distribution Drive in the rural blocks of Motihari, Bihar.
In many villages across East Champaran, children often drop out of school not because of a lack of will, but due to a lack of basic resources like notebooks, bags, and stationery. To bridge this gap, our team identified over 500 students who were in urgent need of academic support.
"Seeing the smile on a child's face when they receive their first brand-new school bag is a reminder of why we started this journey."
What was inside the kits?
Each kit was carefully curated to ensure it provides a complete learning experience for the academic year. The kits included:
- Durable water-resistant school bags.
- Set of 5 notebooks and drawing materials.
- Geometry boxes and writing stationery.
- Basic hygiene kits (Sanitizers and masks).
The event was more than just a distribution drive. We conducted interactive sessions with parents, emphasizing the importance of consistent schooling, especially for the girl child. In rural Bihar, social barriers often hinder female education, and our foundation is committed to breaking these norms through continuous community engagement.
Our journey doesn't end here. We aim to reach 5,000 students by the end of 2024. This mission is only possible with the support of our generous donors and dedicated volunteers who believe in a brighter, educated Bihar.
